I am so excited to do a Southern Style Spotlight feature on this fabulous designer who hails from Fairhope: Kara Strope Warr of Kara Strope Designs. I fell in love with this jewelry brand 14 years ago during a trunk show at the Tri-Delt house at The University of Alabama during my freshman year of college and KSD has been my go-to for jewelry ever since.

Kara is not only a talented jewelry designer – she is also beautiful person, both inside and out. Over the years she has been a friend that I have come to count on during my darkest moments. She is someone that has prayed with me, prayed for me and always has the perfect Bible verse to share to lend some perspective on my situation. Kara possesses wisdom far beyond her years, she innately has a very high level of emotional intelligence and her strong faith in God gives her an aura of peaceful grace that makes people gravitate towards her.
Besides being with me during the dark times, Kara has always been one of the first people to celebrate the beautiful blessings this life has given me. Her infectiously positive personality and her talent for creating beautiful jewelry make me so excited to shine a light on her line of jewelry and feature KSD on The Southern Atelier.

Kara Strope Warr has worked in fashion since her teen years and her love for the industry drove her to begin designing jewelry while attending the University of Alabama. She began selling her pieces at sorority houses on campus and trunk shows. Soon, it was a thriving business and her designs were being sold in boutiques all over the South.
The KSD Fine Jewelry Collection combines pave and rose cut diamonds with oxidized sterling silver, precious gemstones and pearls. The collection features necklaces with interchangeable pendants as well as earrings, bangles and gold bead bracelets with pave diamond accents.

Her designs are all created in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where she lives with her husband, Michael, and four children, Macon, Hill, Michael, jr. and Jude. While the collection in itself has many beautiful pieces to offer, Kara also offers custom pieces as an exciting design option for her clients.

KSD has been one of our favorite clients to work with for styled shoots and editorial marketing campaigns. You can view the dreamy beach video from our campaign for KSD by clicking this link as well as photos from the same campaign by clicking here. This is some of my favorite editorial work that we have done!
